Ian’s journey began in 1970, when he took a family watch to a respected horologist in Wargrave, Lancashire. Recognising Ian’s passion for mechanical precision, the master craftsman — with more than 50 years of experience — offered to train him in the traditional techniques that still define Clock Corner today.
After years of hands‑on learning and meticulous practice, Ian opened Clock Corner in 1974, leaving his role as a chemist at Pilkington’s in St Helens to pursue his true calling: restoring clocks to the highest possible standard and offering customers unique, reliable timepieces.
